Guest Account vs Mobile Login

Many Yono apps let you start as a Guest, with an ID created on your phone. It is quick, but that account is tied to that one installation. Uninstall the app, clear its data or switch phones, and a guest account may be gone for good, along with any balance.

Binding your mobile number with OTP turns it into a proper account that you can log into from any install. It is usually also the step that credits the sign-up bonus, so do it on day one.

8 Fixes for OTP and Login Problems

1. Check the number. Enter the 10-digit number without 0 or +91 unless the form asks for it, and make sure it belongs to a SIM that is in the phone and active.
2. Wait before resending. Give the OTP 60 seconds. Tapping Resend again and again can trigger a temporary lock that lasts from minutes to hours.
3. Look in spam. Messages apps (Google Messages, Samsung Messages, Xiaomi) often file OTPs from unknown senders under Spam or Promotions.
4. Check the right SIM. On a dual-SIM phone, the OTP goes to the SIM registered with the account, which may not be your data SIM.
5. Refresh your signal. Turn airplane mode on for ten seconds, then off. Weak signal delays SMS far more than it delays data.
6. Turn off VPN and fix the clock. VPNs can make an app reject the login, and a wrong date or time breaks secure connections. Set date and time to automatic.

8. Number already registered? Each mobile number can hold one account per app. If you registered before, log in rather than signing up. Use the app’s forgot-password or OTP login option.

Why Accounts Get Locked

An account lock is usually the operator’s risk system reacting to something it treats as suspicious. The common triggers are:

• Several accounts on the same device, often from trying to claim the sign-up bonus again.
• Logging in through a VPN, or from very different locations in a short time.
• Too many failed OTP or password attempts.

Moving to a New Phone

1. On the old phone, check that your mobile number is bound to the account.
2. Install the app on the new phone from the game’s page in our Yono games list.
3. Choose login with mobile number (not Guest) and verify the OTP.
4. Your balance loads from the server. Only then uninstall the app from the old phone.

OTP Scams That Target Yono Players

An OTP is the key to your account, and sometimes to your bank. Scammers know Yono players are waiting for OTPs and withdrawals, and use that:

• Fake support numbers in search results or comments that ask for “the OTP we just sent to verify you”.
• Telegram “agents” who offer to unlock your account or speed up a withdrawal if you share an OTP or UPI PIN.
• Screen-sharing apps that a “helper” asks you to install. They let a stranger watch you type OTPs and PINs.
